Chevy Chase offers proximity to DC and Bethesda but with a small-town charm you won’t find elsewhere. Tree-lined streets feature beautiful homes with carefully manicured lawns, showcasing the strong sense of community. Connecticut Avenue is the main commercial hub with small bars and restaurants and long-standing landmarks like the Avalon Theatre. If you like getting out into nature, the Chevy Chase Club offers an 18-hole golf course, and Rock Creek Park, with its countless hiking, biking and horseback riding trails, is just next door. ARCHITECTURAL STYLE Chevy Chase is largely filled with single-family homes featuring modest yards to plant a garden or play with the kids. Although most are constructed from brick, their styles—a mix of Tudor, Victorian, Colonial and Cape Cod—vary yet work together beautifully. There are some condos and apartments, too, which are mostly in the main commercial area along Connecticut Avenue.
